A Lionsgate, empresa que produz a franquia Divergente e Jogos Vorazes, publicou um arquivo para a imprensa com diversas notas sobre A Série Divergente: Insurgente, e entre estas estão o nome dos artistas e as músicas que farão parte da trilha sonora do filme - que será lançada pela Interscope Records. O produtor musical do filme já havia dito que Insurgente seria mais instrumental, por isso poucos nomes em comparação com Divergente.
